My favorite children’s book was “Bullerby Children”. It was fun to read it and it gave me a lot to dream about, like e.g. to send messages to my friend …. on a rope… (at the time there were no cell phone and text messages :))

My favourite book was Pippi Longstocking by Astrid Lindgren. I liked her for her independent and adventurous nature and her unusual strength. I was imagining how great it would be to have a friend like Pippi.

My favorite children book was “Winnie the Pooh”.

Many believe Pooh Bear is for young children, they are wrong. Pooh is for all ages.

The Little Prince – Antoine de Saint-Exupery. Because it’s about love and friendship as a counter to loss and loneliness. It covers those aspects of human nature which we should revere and those we shouldn’t, such as greed, envy and deceit. It works on so many levels from fairy story to fable. Just beautiful.

“One Thousand and One Nights” because it was something totally different from Polish realities in the 80’s. Also it was just wonderful. Greetings from Jacek
